A/B testing of workflows
Create a test button for workflows. This would send an specific email address all of the workflow emails to ensure that it was set up correctly. It would be best if this workflow wasn't live yet when testing.
Currently within HubSpot you can a/b test individual, one-off emails; however, this capability does not extend to automated emails. We'd like to propose adding a/b testing for use in workflows.
We would like to do an a/b test in our workflows to test out two different email strains, but Hubspot doesn't currently offer that option. Instead, it is only available for one-time emails.
It would be very helpful to us in our email marketing if this was an offered option.
Please add email A/B testing functionality for automated emails. We have a trial download program and would like to compare the purchase rate from an email without a discount vs one with a discount. This feature is currently not available for emails in a workflow.
Allow A/B Testing for automated workflow emails. HubSpot would randomly choose to send either version as subscribers hit workflow triggers. Could then watch to see which version was performing better over time and optimize accordingly.
When in Hubspot, allow user to test lead nurturing campaign without it being assigned as a new lead. Currently when testing, leads are added when they aren't true leads and misrepresents the true number of leads.
Thanks for the idea! This is a functionality we will be working on.
David is right: the title doesn't seem to match the actual request. If you are interested in A/B testing entire workflows, see the following idea:

Any words on this?
Any word on this? It's been a few years. Would love to see this happen.

The title of this post doesn't seem to match the actual request. However, it would be great if you could enable actual A/B testing within a live email workflow, so the first email in the workflow could be A/B tested, and the best version (A or B) used for the balance of that workflow step, and then the same with subsequent steps.
Currently it's simple enough to add a contact (i.e. yourself) into an existing workflow to see if the workflow works.
